St. Pete has a lot of great locations for family photos, headshots, maternity and senior pictures. I don’t shoot weddings (just reminding you!), but all things portrait photography I’m your gal. Honestly, I’d love to shoot in St. Pete more! I know they have hidden gems and vibrant downtowns that I have yet to explore. But check out some of what St. Pete has to offer below.
Sunken Gardens

Even if you don’t choose Sunken Garden for family photos, you should at least make time to visit! They have beautiful plants. This spot is very shaded, with walking paths and loads of greenery. They close at 4:30, so start time is 3:30, which is a little trickier time of day for lighting. But this time might work better for young kids who can’t hang at golden hour.

Beaches
and more beaches
St Pete tries not to brag, but they’ve got beaches for days. Ft. Desoto is a popular one for family photos because you start in the fort, then hit the sand after for a good variety. Reddington, Indian Rocks, and Pass-A-Grill – we’ve got options! And these are typically a little less crowded than Clearwater beach.
